Church History
Calvary chapel Kirundi was born out of political problems in Burundi, the poorest country in the world, that forced many Burundians to flee their country in 2015. During this time, there was a great move of refugees from Burundi to Kampala, Uganda. The church developed a great burden to reach out to them, but it was difficult because of the language barrier. Calvary Chapel Kirundi was born so that we could teach the Word of God in their heart language. We thank God for Calvary Chapel Kampala for providing the place of meeting and other facilities. Many have come to the Lord and we have trained many in our discipleship class. We have also seen many baptisms, weddings, and much more.
