Since our high school days, Jacob and I have both felt a calling from the Lord to plant churches and serve on the mission field. This shared passion led us separately to Calvary Chapel Bible College, where we sought to be equipped for the work God had placed on our hearts. It was there that we met, became friends, and eventually fell in love. After growing in faith, graduating, and marrying, we moved back to my hometown and began working at the church where I grew up. I took on the role of children’s ministry assistant, while Jacob served as a junior high assistant. Those years were an important season of growth, as the Lord used our time there to grow and equip us for the calling He has placed on our lives.

We had been praying for God to open doors for us to step into church planting and missions. In His perfect timing, He answered! We are thrilled to begin serving as church planting interns at Calvary Chapel of the Palm Beaches in December 2025. There, we will lead a youth group, facilitate a community group, engage in evangelistic outreaches, serve wherever they need us within the church, and receive mentorship from Pastor Daniel and his wife. We are overwhelmed by God’s goodness and faithfulness as He guides us into this new chapter of ministry!

We are so excited for the doors God is opening in Florida! As we are equipped to plant churches, here are five proposed goals for our internship!

1) Raise up a support team (prayer & financial) and a year’s worth of financial support: -Join a missionary agency for financial accountability. -Create a prayer team to surround us -Create a care team to specifically support us through this residency. -Fundraise and share the vision of what God is doing through us as domestic missionaries. -Report to our support team monthly so you can know how to pray for us and what is happening.

2) Go on an international missions trip: -Get passports and participate in a missions trip.

3) Interview missionaries & practitioners monthly: -Every month, have an opportunity to talk with a missionary or church planter from around the world.

4) Join the Calvary Global Network Cultivate Church Planting Program: -Join an online cohort with other prospective church planters that meet weekly and go through the Calvary Chapel church planting manual.

5) Work in a local church: -Be a part of the serve team for Sundays and work within the church in different areas. -Do some administrative work and see behind the scenes of ministry. -Be a team leader of some ministries, such as youth. -An opportunity for Jacob to teach within the fellowship on a Sunday Service and in community groups.
