His Story
During my time serving in the missions department at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, I felt a clear calling to return to my home country of El Salvador to establish a new Calvary church and missionary center.
In 2017, I relocated to the impoverished community of El Sunzal and founded Calvary El Sunzal. Today, our church hosts a Compassion International learning center and offers multiple weekly Bible teachings at our campus as well as in some other nearby locations in which we have planted churches.
We are also deeply committed to fulfilling the Great Commission by welcoming 6-7 short-term mission teams from U.S. churches each year, empowering them to serve the community and share God’s love while helping us realize our long-term goal of seeing El Sunzal transformed by the grace of God.
