Church History
8 years ago, while living in the U.S., the Lord call me to “go back to Egypt,” my hometown Tixbacab, Mexico. I was very comfortable where I was living, so I was resistant to His initial call. He continued to pursue me, and I finally relented. I didn't have a clue what the Lord had in mind, but I returned to Tixbacab and looked for ways to serve Him. Eventually, I started a church service. We began with only three children and a couple of young guys. Now we regularly have 30 kids on Thursday nights and 18 adults on Sunday morning.
We also recently started a branch of Lighthouse Comunidad Educativa. We are starting with two kids and have a plan to open a formal school with the purpose providing excellent education, but even more importantly, Christian discipleship.
“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19
