Her Story

“My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” - Galatians 2:20

When I first started following Jesus, I had no idea what the world of missions was like. Wow, what an adventure Jesus and I have had! First, He opened the doors for me to join a discipleship program called “Patmos” in the Bahamas. It was there that God called me into full time missionary work.

In 2007, He led me back to Chihuahua, Mexico, my hometown. God filled my heart with passion and a special calling to work with at-risk children. I spent 10 years serving with children from different Tarahumaras communities and orphans from different orphanages. In 2017, God opened doors for me to serve Him with Calvary Cartagena in Colombia, which has a special mission on the island Tierra Bomba. The island is plagued by domestic violence, and many struggle with addictions (alcoholism, drugs, sexual abuse, gambling, etc).

In 2022 my visa renewal was rejected. The changes that came were very difficult, but God began to prepare my heart to return home. He wanted me to continue serving and sharing His love in other communities in Mexico. By the end of January of 2023, God opened a door for me to join PIMEX (Pioneers in Mexico). I serve in missionary care, helping prepare new candidates to be missionaries to unreached people groups. I also serve at an orphanage with children and youth in the area of inner healing and Bible studies. I’m also taking courses that will help me specialize in caring for victims of child abuse and violence. Stay tune, as the adventure with Jesus continues!
