Their Story

Before encountering the grace of Jesus, my wife Yani and I had experienced the pain of divorce. However, in 1999, the Lord poured out His mercy upon us, and after three long years of being separated, we found ourselves miraculously reconciled. As the Scripture so beautifully states, “what God has joined together, let no man separate.”

As transformed individuals in Christ, we embarked on a journey of a redeemed marriage. In the year 2000, we dedicated ourselves to serving the Lord at Calvary Chapel Merida. By 2008 we were blessed with the opportunity to serve as educators at Calvary Educational Center. It was during our time as educators at this Christian school that a deep passion was ignited within my wife and me. In 2020, amidst the challenges posed by the COVID pandemic, God lead us to Colombia, specifically to the island of Tierra Bomba and the historic city of Cartagena. There, we established CCA (Calvary Christian Academy) Tierra Bomba and, a year later, CCA Cartagena was born. Both ministries are currently in operation.

Upon returning to Mexico, the Lord is moving us to plant and pastor a church in Hocaba, Yucatan. A town of 6,000 inhabitants, mostly Catholic, located 45 km from Merida. We are also praying to join the project and work with the ministry of "Compassion" in this community.

We will also start an educational program with the school of "Lighthouse Comunidad Educativa" to promote Christian distance education in Mayan communities. The pilot program will be in the town of Tixbacab. This is a Mayan community of 400 inhabitants in the Municipality of Cenotillo, 145 km from Merida. The challenge has started with one student, but we are praying to help more.

Following the call to evangelize and disciple through Christian education, together with the Lighthouse School, we have taken on the challenge of initially supporting four teenagers from the "Casa Hogar Moises" located in Merida. We pray that God will open doors to support more homeless children through Christian education.

Finally, we are pleased that my wife and I have been called to serve in the area of Christian education at Lighthouse Community Education School. She will be serving as the Elementary School Principal and I will be the Director of the High School level and the Distance Education programs.
