Peggy and I have been joyfully married for 43 years, and throughout that time, the Lord has blessed us with a rich and fulfilling family life. We have three wonderful grown children and four precious grandchildren. Family has always been at the heart of our ministry and life together.

I (Stef) have had the privilege of serving on staff at Calvary Life (Calvary Chapel South Bay), for the past 35 years. I served as the Children’s Pastor for 30 of those years, allowing me to teach, mentor, and equip the next generation, as well as train and encourage children’s ministry workers and leaders both nationally and internationally. Recently, my role has evolved to focus on coaching and supporting ministry leaders and volunteers, helping them grow in their callings and remain steadfast in their service. Peggy has been equally devoted to the ministry and to our family. She faithfully homeschooled our children and has been deeply involved in both the women’s and children’s ministries for over 30 years. Peggy has also played a significant part in organizing and leading workshops at children’s ministry conferences, mentoring workers and leaders, and bringing creativity and warmth to every event she touches.

For more than 3 decades, we’ve had the privilege of participating in short-term mission trips to Mexico, El Salvador, the Territory of Samoa, the nation of Samoa, and the Philippines. Each trip has deepened our understanding of God’s heart for the nations and strengthened our desire to bring the hope of the gospel to those who have yet to hear it.

Through the gradual and gentle leading of the Holy Spirit, the Lord began stirring our hearts for Italy—placing within us a growing love and burden for its people. What began as a simple visit to Italy, my homeland, turned into something profound. The Lord began removing obstacles, opening doors, and confirming His call in ways we never expected.

We are now stepping out in faith, ready to embrace what God has prepared for us in Gaeta, Italy. For me, it’s a return to my roots; for Peggy, it’s a courageous step of faith into the unknown, leaving behind the life and community she has always known. We believe the words of Romans 10:14 capture the heart of our mission: “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?” We take this to heart as both a command and a privilege. The Lord has called, and we are answering that call—trusting Him fully as we go, knowing that He will provide, guide, and use us for His glory among the people of Gaeta.
